Want to Learn to Skydive Solo?
Our progressive tandem program is the way to do it. We want you to understand human flight and know how to skydive safely. Our USPA-certified AFF instructors will be with you every step of the way—on the ground and in the skies.
STEP 1: Complete your “working” tandems. Your first step is the tandem immersion jump. You’ll wear an altimeter and deploy the parachute (don’t worry, our instructor is there to back you up.) Learn basic canopy controls. On your next tandem jump you add more skills.
STEP 2: Ground School. Next up is ground school. Learn emergency procedures. Practice the parachute landing fall. Pass written test.
STEP 3: Your first solo. After ground school you get to fly under a canopy all alone –well, we will guide you in for landing by radio, too.
Need to visualize it? This video will help you get a feel for the progress of an AFF student. Not everything is included. This particular student did 5 tandems before his first solo. He described 3 of the tandems as “working tandems.” He completed ground school. Then he hammered out his 25 jumps and got his A-license in just 19 days.
Everyone learns little, by little. But, the more often you jump the better!
Our AFF program mirrors the USPA’s Categories B-F.
You must demonstrate each new skill before you move to the next level — and you must complete the next jump within 30 days.
Extensive pre-jump dive flow training & post-jump debrief (usually with video) helps you understand the impact of your actions in the sky.

Bundle & Save (or Pay as you Go.) Either way our AFF instructors will help you acquire the skills needed to become a licensed skydiver. Each AFF jump includes instructor training, airplane ride, gear rental (rig, helmet, radio, jumpsuit, etc), parachute packing and more! You focus on learning. We take you through each step of the journey.

A-License Package

To become a USPA-licensed solo skydiver, you need to earn your A-License. This requires a minimum of 25 jumps; some jumps will require a USPA coach and some jumps are entirely solo. Our “A-License Package” includes everything: The entire AFF program, the additional skill and solo jumps, coaching, gear rental, and pack jobs. So long as you don’t have to repeat, you don’t have to pay any more –well, until you get hooked on skydiving… then it’s just one way airplane rides! (mostly.)

WANT TO STUDY AHEAD?
The AFF and the A-License programs are progression programs. They are published on the USPA.org web site. You must read and pass written and oral tests, too. But, everyone WANTS to help you obtain your license. Dive into these resources:
